What are Server Slots?
Server slots represent the maximum number of players that can be connected to your server at the same time.
- 1 slot = 1 player can join
- 10 slots = up to 10 players at once
- 50 slots = up to 50 players at once
Important: Slots do not directly control performance. Your server performance is mainly determined by RAM, CPU, and server optimisation.
How Players Affect Server Performance
Each player increases the load on your server:
- RAM Usage – Player data and chunks are stored in memory
- CPU Usage – More players = more entities and calculations
- Disk Usage – World saves and chunk loading
- Network Usage – Data sent between server and players

Understanding TPS (Server Performance)
TPS (Ticks Per Second) measures how well your server is performing.
- 20 TPS – Perfect performance
- 15–19 TPS – Minor lag
- 10–14 TPS – Noticeable lag
- Below 10 TPS – Severe lag
